Libramorous Expenditures - I made this terminology up. Another term for it might be bibliphilic acquisitions.
Anyway, I bought some books this week.
First is Bunnygoodjohn's Sticklebacks and Snow Globes. Bunny is an alumna of Stonecoast, the MFA program that I'm in. She gave a kick ass lecture on Walt Whitman and Allen Ginsberg for her graduate seminar. She also has a great blog that covers lots to do with writing. It's called "Writing Writing Writing...what else is there?" http://www.bagoodjohn.blogspot.com/
On her blog, BAJ wrote a post on the book Eat, Pray, Love, and she was the millionth person to recommend it, so I bought that, too, while I was on abebooks.com (independent on-line book sellers).
I was listen to NPR (I know, shocking) and they did a story on a woman who recently passed away. Her name was Peg Bracken and she wrote the "I Hate to Cook" Book, which sounded like a perfect 30th birthday book for my friend Erin, the first of us from Weymouth to turn 30. She, obviously, hates to cook. (BTW JENNY is the first of my close friends to turn THIRTY. Ha ha ha!) NPR story here.
The one that just came in the mail is for my brilliant idea. It came after work took us to see Wicked as a thank you for launching the website.

Ye Olde Bloggens are re-posts of old blogs

The following post was originally posted on one of
Bridget Eileen’s old blogs: In the Pines,
Neophyte
Poetics, Bridget
Eileen’s Commonplace Book, Dreaming
Bridge Designs or A Vegetarian
Notebook. They aren’t all fancy with photos and subheadings and search
descriptions, or even that much content, sometimes. They’re here for posterity,
because it’s fun to read the archives!
