Rozzie PorchFest 2016 - Roslindale's Neighborhood Free Music Festival, held on porches and yards around Boston Rozzie Neighborhood
Porch Fests have been cropping up around the Boston area for the past few years and it's such a great idea. People open up their porches for hosting live music performances, and people walk from performance to performance to see a wide variety of musicians play and it's free to the public. The JP Porch Fest was earlier this summer in July. And I have pictures, which I'll have to post! However, this past weekend was Roslindale's Porch Fest, and it was a beautiful day in the neighborhood!

Sestra, a Balkan folk music women's a cappella group, was my favorite performance. My roommate and I headed out around 3:30 for the fest, which was from 1:30-6.

We definitely kept it local by heading to Redd's in Rozzie first for some drinks and snacks while watching the Red Sox and listening to their live music from the band "The Bikes."

It was also fun to just walk around the neighborhood in the nice weather. Roslindale Porchfest is a bit more spread out than JP's so it's not as easy to get to as many performances, but it's still fun. And free!
